POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for executing daily duties in the Card Services
department including Visa Debit and Credit card functionality, credit
monitoring, and credit risk mitigation. Activities performed are in
alignment and in accordance with all Card Service department processes
and procedures. Services are professionally delivered and internal
associates and members are provided excellent member service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist manager in department project planning, research, project
tasks and completion
- Manage all credit related strategies for the credit card
portfolios from a 1st Line of Defense perspective.
- Monitor portfolio risk trends through analytics and improvement of
portfolio reporting.
- Develop framework for portfolio risk assessment including
evaluation of credit and financial performance across the credit
card portfolio
- Understand applicable credit policies, industry regulations and
the impact of those governance items
- Perform daily duties in Card Services department to ensure
effective completion of all daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks
- Follow all established Card Services policies and procedures
- Work within Visa Debit and Credit card processes and procedures
are conducted in accordance with established policy guidelines and
standards, and are properly documented
- Ensure Card Service department functions are efficiently and
effectively performed in accordance with established Credit Union
policies and standards and with applicable laws and regulations
- Complete required reports and related documents promptly and
accurately, and in compliance with Credit Union guidelines and
policies. Ensure the maintenance of department records and ensure
the availability of adequate services and materials to support
retail line of business activities.
- Ensure that members are properly informed of Credit Union Visa
Debit and Credit card practices and that requests, problems, and
questions are promptly resolved
- Ensure that the Credit Union's professional reputation is
maintained internally and externally
- Represent and assist departmental projects that involve Card
Services and involve other line of business and stake holders as
warranted across the organization
- Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma required
Required Knowledge:
- Working understanding of Credit Union Visa Debit and Credit card processes
- Familiar with Visa card regulatory compliance
- Working knowledge of related computer applications
Experience Required:
- Two to five years experience
- Knowledge of Visa and credit risk management
- Knowledge of retail operations relating to the member experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Good problem-solving abilities
- A high level of analytical skills
- Ability to make sound decisions to protect the Credit Union
- Takes initiative
- Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Standard office conditions
- Low to moderate noise
- Limited lifting up to 10 lbs.
