Hourly Salary Range $19.25 - $24.07 based on experience

Experience and Skills

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing title collateral management functions in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures. Complete related reports and paperwork in order to maintain and update files, while researching and resolving recordkeeping errors or discrepancies. Perform miscellaneous clerical functions, provide high quality and professional service to employees, and performs miscellaneous support functions as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Build member relationships that deliver value and demonstrate that we care

* Foster a positive environment through delivery of exceptional member experiences

* Ensures that loan documentation and collateral management is handled in accordance with the approved credit presentation and with credit union policies and procedures.

* Completes periodic review of department procedures and reports schedule for assigned duties.

* Ensures procedures are drafted, up to date, and in a central location and accessible to all department employees.

* Responsible for checking loan documents to ensure complete and accurate information

* Submit "Application of Title" vehicle loans to appropriate jurisdictions

* Process title corrections as needed

* Lien Release on Vehicle loans

* Process closed auto loans

* Process direct GAP refunds

* Update Open Lending when loan closes

* Support Loan Servicing Ticketing HD for vehicles

* Complete file maintenance on titles as needed

* Complete Title Auditing

* Secure lien on Other Secured Collateral with a UCC filing as needed

* Release Lien on Other Secured Collateral with UCC filing as needed

* Check in paper vehicle titles from the States Department of Revenue as needed

* Check in ELT (Electronic Titles) as needed

* Process payoff requests as needed

* Review direct Gap and Warranty Monthly invoice

* Obtains and conveys information as needed

* Scan, index, and file loan and membership documents

* Responsible for the file room

* Answer questions, resolve problems, and respond to requests for documents promptly and courteously

* Assist branches and related departments as required

* Receive member telephone calls regarding loans and memberships and maintain member confidentiality

* Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Provide suggestions for improved service delivery.

* Maintain and project the Credit Union's professional reputation

* Responsible for related duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

* Completed high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of formal training and experience

* Additional business coursework suggested

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

* General understanding of Credit Union loan processes

* Knowledge of related computer applications

* General title knowledge

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Two to three years of similar or related experience preferred but not required

* Knowledge of title work

* Knowledge of underwriting requirements

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Good organizational and problem-solving abilities

* A high level of analytical skills

* Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment

* Strong communication and phone skills

* Coordinate activities well with others

* Well organized and attentive to details
