Experience and Skills

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist with the coordination and execution of marketing projects for the credit union. Support the marketing function in daily promotional and communication needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stays abreast of digital content and marketing industry trends and make recommendations for social strategy and development to most effectively market PMCU brand and drive business
  • Monitor the company’s social media accounts outside of normal business hours and respond to user comments and direct messages with a focus on cultivating trust and building the PMCU brand
  • Work with the internal marketing team to continuously promote new social media content that leverages company branding and messaging
  • Coordinate and schedule content, campaigns, and updates to social media channels
  • Research and recommend new social tools, metrics and strategies as appropriate
  • Adheres to annual marketing plan and budget while coordinating the development of the company's promotions and special events
  • Coordinates the department specialty items: oversees inventories, researches and makes recommendation, ships and fulfills orders for internal/external partners
  • Manages employee communication and marketing documentation for upcoming marketing campaigns
  • Works with the Marketing Operations Manager to ensure the publication and distribution of scheduled Credit Union correspondence for promotional campaigns, and internal/external direct marketing efforts
  • Complete additional projects as assigned by leadership and assist with departmental administrative needs
  • Work independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to project solutions
  • Manage other tactical assignments as needed and based on ability. This may include campaign management, graphic design assistance, web content management, social media/email marketing, and digital advertising
  • Actively participate in group discussions about marketing projects. Ensure marketing assets are developed in accordance with media deadlines, project timelines, and other due dates. Serve as backup for other marketing staff as needed
  • Assist the Marketing Operations Manager with production and distribution of marketing assets such as printed materials, signage, vinyl graphics, video content, and more as directed
  • Work closely with internal resources and external agencies to deliver on project plans
  • Produce status reports and conduct status meetings with stakeholders as appropriate

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Required

  • Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Communications, Project Management or a similar field.
  • 6+ years’ experience in marketing program/project management
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Outstanding time-management and organizational skills are essential, as well as an understanding of marketing communications in print, digital, and social media environments
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience maintaining calendars for social media channels
  • Experience using social media management tools
  • Knowledge of and skill to understand emerging digital marketing channels
  • Has a deep understanding of social media metrics, benchmarks, and knows how to analyze social media data to tell a story; can develop insights and recommendations based off social data

 

PREFERRED:

  • Graphic-design experience (Adobe Suite)
  • Experience leading projects and social media strategy
  • Ability to think strategically and influence people at all levels of the organization.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a management or senior level role
