Hourly Starting Salary:$17.22 - $25.83 based on experience

Experience and Skills

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for executing daily duties in the Card Services department including Visa Debit and Credit card functionality, transaction reporting, dispute process, and plastic card performance and maintenance. Activities performed are in alignment and in accordance with all Card Service department processes and procedures. Services are professionally delivered and internal associates and members are provided excellent member service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Assist manager in department project planning, research, project tasks and completion

* Process, submit, and follow up on Visa Debit and Credit card disputes and chargebacks with card processors

* Issue provisional credit in established timeframes

* Process and submit bond claims with insurance company on chargeback losses

* Process lost or stolen card reports from card processor within the established time schedule. Block plastic cards and follow-up with member

* Process card order exceptions ensuring that cards request for printed are completed and mailed within timely manner

* Perform daily duties in Card Services department to ensure effective completion of all daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks

* Review, perform card re-issues regarding fraud trends, CAM’s alerts and all other re-issues

* Follow all established Card Services policies and procedures

* Work within Visa Debit and Credit card processes and procedures are conducted in accordance with established policy guidelines and standards, and are properly documented

* Ensure Card Service department functions are efficiently and effectively performed in accordance with established Credit Union policies and standards and with applicable laws and regulations

* Keep Department Manager informed of Card Service department activities, progress toward established objectives, and of any significant problems including fraud trends

* Complete required reports and related documents promptly and accurately, and in compliance with Credit Union guidelines and policies. Ensure the maintenance of department records and ensure the availability of adequate services and materials to support retail line of business activities.

* Ensure that members are properly informed of Credit Union Visa Debit and Credit card practices and that requests, problems, and questions are promptly resolved

* Ensure that the Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained internally and externally

* Represent and assist departmental projects that involve Card Services and involve other line of business and stake holders as warranted across the organization

* Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

* High School Diploma required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

* Working understanding of Credit Union Visa Debit and Credit card processes

* Familiar with Visa Debit and Credit card regulatory compliance

* Working knowledge of related computer applications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Two years general work experience

* One to three years of experience in financial institution

* Knowledge of Debit and Credit card process

* Knowledge of retail operations relating to the member experience

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Strong communication skills

* Good problem-solving abilities

* A high level of analytical skills

* Takes initiative

* Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment
