CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY COORDINATOR ROLE:

This position is responsible for the effective and efficient execution of the credit union’s corporate social responsibility program, Premier Gives. Responsibilities include researching and implementing CSR and credit union-wide best practices, planning corporate and employee giving efforts through time, talent, and financial resources, developing and facilitating staff training related to community outreach, applying for relevant awards, collecting and assessing relevant metrics, and other related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate is passionate about corporate social responsibility and community engagement. The candidate will also bring a strong understanding of tracking, analyzing, and reporting on metrics, appreciates processes and procedures, and is deadline-driven.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for initiating, coordinating, and overseeing the credit union’s charitable giving efforts
  • Recommends and implements strategic direction for corporate social responsibility plan
  • Cultivates and maintains community relationships to increase awareness of Premier Gives
  • Identifies and implements strategic collaborative opportunities for businesses, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions
  • Leverages public relations efforts through the implementation of community outreach programs
  • Works across a wide-variety of departments and management levels, to coordinate special events and outreach programs
  • Ensures that internal and external requests and problems related to corporate social responsibility’s contacts and prospects are courteously and professionally resolved, and that communications and workflow are efficient and effective
  • Tracks all invoices and expenses against yearly department budget
  • Establishes agreed-upon annual goals that support the credit union
  • Provides leads to business development department
  • Prepares and submits media releases and articles for publication
  • Cultivates and maintains media contacts
  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained
  • Completes special projects and related duties as required or assigned

Hourly Wage Range: $26.24-$32.80 depending on experience

Experience and Skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or related field; or two to four years related experience and/or training, preferably in a financial institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of credit union products and services
  • Understanding of sales and promotion techniques
  • Familiarity with media operations

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of three years experience in marketing, public relations, CSR, philanthropy management, or advertising
  • Minimum of three years experience in public speaking and event planning
  • Preferred - Four to ten years related experience and/or training, preferably in a financial institution; or equivalent combination of experience

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • Solid writing skills
  • Able to operate computer applications

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Standard office conditions
  • Travel on the road as needed
  • Low to moderate noise
  • Limited lifting up to 40 lbs.
