The Business Intelligence Analyst will build reports for
business users using different Business Intelligence Tools. Develops
customer analysis and utilizes SQL. An ideal candidate will possess
the skill to look beyond the request received and work with the
business user to determine the optimal long-term solution for the
business. This position is expected to proactively identify
meaningful data and metrics to improve credit union operations,
member service and regulatory/policy compliance. This position will
be required to make recommendations to staff, including executive
management, defend and explain complex technical information in a
way that supports organizational decision makers.
Build, modify and explain reports for business users
Provide analysis, design implementation, maintenance and training
for enterprise data projects and tasks.
Initiate improvements and develop new reports to satisfy emerging
Write/Modify SQL code to develop data queries per end-user specifications
Create complex reports integrating multiple data-sets
Generate and maintain reports from Company Data Warehouse
Meet with internal line of business users to gather business requirements.
Manage projects and initiatives related to line of business requirements.
Prioritize and execute multiple work requests to meet deadlines
Adhere to corporate standards, policies and procedures
Write short procedures including but not limited to ETL
Processing, Report Development, Business Requirement Definitions
Generate and maintain data dictionary and ensure enterprise data
integrity and alignment
Resolve end user reporting problems through collaboration with IT
and line of businesses
Maintain and monitor Enterprise Data Warehouse and SQL
environment including after-hours work.
Execute and monitor on-going reporting and data processing
operations for the credit union
Independently identify opportunities for improvement and provide
operational insight and recommendations to credit union management
Present and explain findings to staff including executive suite
Responsible for related duties as required or assigned
Experience with SQL or other enterprise-grade database
Proficient in T-SQL or other database query language
Experience with either database tools and concepts or credit
unions a must
Experience with Jack Henry’s ARCU system a plus
Microsoft Excel- strong Excel skill, including pivots; VBA a
plus, but not required
Outlook- ability to schedule appointments, check conflicts, etc.
Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other
database reporting tool a plus
3+ years in a combination of either a report writing/database
role or credit union experience
1 Year of experience T-SQL or other report writing language required
Proven experience generating, presenting and explaining complex
and meaningful reports
Problem solving, analytical and communication skills required
Proven ability to listen to the needs of different groups and
develop amicable relationships with a wide range of different
personalities at all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated
ability to convey information clearly, accurately, and timely in
consideration of audience and medium.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple initiatives simultaneously
Artistic/layout skill a plus
