Job Description


Proactively develop quality loans over the phone and advise members of approvals, rates, terms, stipulations and the loan processing procedures. Control the sales process by listening and providing the appropriate solutions to meet members’ requests. Reach or surpass cross-sales goals and follow up on pipeline of applicants. Requires ability to deal cheerfully and professionally with members and exercise some independent judgment.



  • Provides excellent service to members

  • Conducts phone-based, inbound and outbound sales calls to candidates for consumer loans

  • Evaluates members’ needs and recommends best products or services to increase the products on eligible loans

  • Enhance credit union goals of increasing sales volume by encouraging ancillary loan products on eligible loans

  • Knows and follows credit union policies

  • Respects confidentiality of information handled

  • Attends required meetings

  • Performs other duties as assigned





  • High School diploma


Required Knowledge:


Experience Required:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or sales



  • Member/customer service experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to calculate debt ratios, payments and collateral values
  • Average knowledge of computer operations
  • Accuracy
  • Ability to manage time well
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks




  • Standard office conditions

  • Low to moderate noise

  • Limited lifting up to 10 lbs.
